We have one game from the IPL on Wednesday and it features the Mumbai Indians going up against the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
The Indians look strong in their bid to win back to back IPL titles and retain their crown, though they do have teams chasing them down.
One of those is the Challengers, these two will come into this game on the same number of points from 11 games.
The two points on offer here are huge, both will want them but who will take them on Wednesday?
Mumbai Indians Team News & Form
The Mumbai Indians come here on the back of a defeat to the Rajasthan Royals, and by scoring nearly 200, the blame for that defeat can only be placed on the bowlers.
They allowed the Royals to score 196 from just 18.2 overs, and they only lost two wickets in that time too. There is no doubt that the Mumbai bowlers let this one get away from them, they neither kept things tight or took wickets at a crucial moment.
With Jasprit Bumrah, Trent Boult and James Pattinson to all add pace to their attack, the Indians certainly have the right weapons available to them, these players just need to perform better.
Royal Challengers Bangalore Team News & Form
Virat Kohli leads the Challengers, and with over 400 runs so far, he’s having another strong IPL again.
Backed up by Aaron Finch, AB de Villiers and Devdutt Padikkal, this Bangalore batting line up certainly has the ability to trouble the bowlers.
It is with the ball where improvement could come for this team. Yuzvendra Chahal leads the way with 16 tournament wickets, but Chris Morris, who has 10, is the only other player in double figures.
This team is performing well at the moment but further wickets from other players would increase their chances of success greatly.
With a lack of depth in the Bangalore bowling line up, the key man could be someone batting against the bowlers who come in during the middle part of the innings.
For that reason we are choosing Rohit Sharma as our key man in this one. He’s scored nearly 300 runs and could enter this game at a time when he can score quickly against a slightly lower quality of bowler.
The Indians have plenty of depth in their batting, and Sharma could be the man to lead them forward.
This should be a great game between two high quality teams but we give the slight edge to the Mumbai Indians and they are our betting tip to win this game.
Although beaten in their last game, we fancy this team to bounce back here. They will need to bowl better, but are certainly capable of doing that.
With the bat they have a number of players who can all perform and play their part. Of those, Rohit Sharma is the man for us, he is our tip to lead the Indians to victory.
