We have a double header of IPL 2020 action to look forward to on Saturday and the first of those games is this one featuring the Kolkata Knight Riders and the Delhi Capitals.
Both teams have performed to a very high standard in the competition so far, and there are genuine claims from both for the title based on that.
Despite defeat in their latest game, the Delhi Capitals continue to push forward and be involved in the battle for top spot in the IPL.
The Kolkata Knight Riders are also in the mix, they are on course for a spot in the knockout round at the moment and if they continue to pick up wins on a regular basis like they have been doing.
Kolkata Knight Riders Team News & Form
The Knight Riders have a perfectly even record so far in the IPL, they have played 10, won five and lost five.
In their most recent game, it is fair to say that we did not see the usual Knight Riders on the field, they were well below par. This came with the bat, as they scored just 84 from their 20 overs against Bangalore.
Overall, Eoin Morgan has been the start with the bat so far, putting nearly 300 runs on the board for his team.
Pat Cummins was brought in to lead the bowling attack but has just three wickets to his name, he’s been a bit of a disappointment considering he broke the record for a fee paid to sign an international player.
Delhi Capitals Team News & Form
For the Capitals, dominance has come with both the bat and ball.
Shikhar Dhawan has scored over 450 runs from 10 games to lead them with the bat while Kagiso Rabada has taken 21 wickets in the same number of games to lead the bowling attack.
Plenty more have contributed too, Shreyas Iyer has over 300 runs while another two players have over 200.
You can see from the above that this is an all-round team, they all work well together and have made big strides, rightfully being considered as potential tournament winners at this stage.
Coming in on the back of a hugely disappointing game with the bat last time out, the Knight Riders are going to be a little under pressure here and they face one of the best bowlers in the world.
Our tip for the key man is Kagiso Rabada, who has been excellent so far, these pitches clearly suit his style and he is taken to get key wickets again here.
With the quality that the Delhi Capitals have both with the bat and ball, they should be too strong for the Knight Riders and they are our betting tip to win this game.
The Capitals have multiple players who can all contribute in their turn if someone doesn’t fire and we are choosing Kagiso Rabada to be the man on this occasion, he is on fire at the moment.
